RAWALPINDI:  The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted six successful operations across Pakistan, resulting in the seizure of 60 kg of drugs and the arrest of five suspects, announced a spokesman from ANF Headquarters on Thursday.

In Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 960 grams of Ice from a parcel destined for Middle East at a local courier office. At Islamabad Airport’s cargo office, another parcel bound for the UK yielded 515 grams of heroin.

Two suspects were apprehended on the M-2 in Sargodha, where ANF seized 24 kg of opium and 30 kg of hashish from their possession. Additionally, on the Express Highway in Islamabad, two more suspects were arrested with 2.4 kg of hashish.

In separate operations, ANF seized 1 kg of hashish from an individual near the Cantt station in Karachi and another 1 kg of hashish in Khyber.

The Anti-Narcotics Act has been used to charge the people who were taken into custody, and investigations are still underway.

These operations underscore ANF’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and enforcing drug laws nationwide.
