LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and former interior minister Rana Sanaullah said on Tuesday that ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan with a protective bail and surrender to court following his welcome reception.

During a media conference in Lahore, Rana Sana emphasized that the PML-N will not forget anyone who has wronged Nawaz Sharif or the party. However, he stressed that the PML-N’s priority was addressing the economic and political situation of the country.

He said that after his return, Nawaz Sharif will focus on strengthening the country and its economy.

Talking about the May 9 events, Rana Sana said that the law will subsequently take its course regarding all those accused in the 9 May riots case. The truth behind the tragedy would be revealed to the nation. However, he acknowledged that it might not be possible to reveal full facts related to the incident.

He assured that the OML-N legal team was making all necessary arrangements for Nawaz Sharif’s protective bail and his subsequent surrender before the court.

Nawaz Sharif’s Return to Pakistan

Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to return on 21 October. Earlier this week, PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that party supremo Nawaz Sharif has devised a comprehensive agenda to resolve the problems plaguing the country and its citizens as she lamented that the inflation currently burdening the people would not have befallen had the Nawaz not been unjustly punished.

Maryam Nawaz recalled that between 2013 and 2018, Pakistan’s growth rate stood at an impressive 6.1%, while inflation was kept at a record low of 3.8%.

She said that Nawaz Sharif eliminated terrorism and power outages, and he will rescue the country from these sufferings, with the grace of God.
