NEPRA Reduces Power Tariff by Rs 2.15 per unit for KE Consumers

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has lowered the power tariff by Rs2.15 per unit for the consumers of K-Electric (KE) as part of fuel cost adjustments (FCAs) for the month of October.

The power regulator arranged a public hearing to consider the proposed reduction which was presided over by Mr. Engineer Taseef H. Farooqui, Chairman members, Engineer Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh and Engineer Maqsood Anwar Khan also attended the hearing. The authority stated that it would issue a detailed decision after conducting further scrutiny of the data.

According to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority , the reduction would not apply to lifeline consumers, domestic customers up to 300 units, agricultural customers and electric vehicle charging stations.
