WASHINGTON: Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella has said that the rise of Artificial Intelligence is a “profound” and a “paradigm” technology shift, adding it will bring new opportunities, local media reported on Thursday.
The CEO of Microsoft was speaking at the Microsoft ‘AI, a New Era’ event. Nadella also met local business leaders, officials and developers and highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence in unlocking fresh opportunities to enhance the UAE’s digital economy and also rapidly transforming the lives of its people.

Satya Nadella stated that the new dawn of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will drive latest innovation and has the huge potential to expand opportunity worldwide including in the UAE,”.

Microsoft has been working in the UAE for last 30 years and select the nation as the location for its first data centres in the region. Microsoft’s cloud regions are viewed a key driver behind the country’s digital transformation, serving as foundations for the deployment of latest and modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
