ISLAMABAD: Federal minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that the delivery of seeds in the flood-affected areas shall be transparent at all costs.

According to NFRCC vice chairman, the federal government would give the provinces half of the seeds they need. When necessary, the seeds would be supplied in the flood-affected regions, according to the minister of food security. He continued, “We are prepared to begin working right now in Sindh and Balochistan’s impacted districts”. He was presiding over a meeting of the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC), which provided information on the strategy for seed distribution in the flood-affected areas.

The NFRCC requested that provinces notify them by October 10 of the cultivable land and necessary seeds. Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had previously stated during a forum meeting that the reconstruction phase of flood assistance had begun.
