LAS VEGAS: Former US President Donald Trump has said that he is not interested in returning to Twitter following an online poll in favor of reinstating him on the social media networking platform.

“I don’t see any reason for it,” said the former US president via video when asked about his plans to return to the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting, reported Reuters news agency.

He added that instead, he would continue using Truth Social – the social media platform created by his Trump Media & Technology Group – which he said was better than Twitter in user engagement and was performing “phenomenally well”.

The Poll to Reinstate Trump’s Twitter Account

A little over 15 million netizens participated in the poll organized by new CEO Elon Musk, with 51.8% voting in favor of his reinstatement.

Trump had over 88 million followers when he was banned from the social media service for instigating violence in January 2021.
