NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia: A shocking case has emerged from Sydney’s inner-east as a 28-year-old NSW Police officer, Beau Lamarre, faces two counts of murder for the disappearance of missing Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird and his partner, Luke Davies.

The officer, who previously worked as a celebrity blogger, allegedly used his service weapon while on-duty to carry out the killings before disposing of the victims’ bodies.

Lamarre surrendered to authorities following an overnight search, with police expressing “grave concerns” for Baird and Davies after discovering their bloodied clothes behind a skip-bin in Cronulla, 30km away from Baird’s residence. Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty confirmed the charges against Lamarre and indicated that the accused officer had used his NSW Police firearm in the crimes.

The incident unfolded on Monday night at Baird’s home in Paddington, where a significant amount of blood was found, along with a discharged projectile and a fired cartridge case linked to a NSW Police firearm. Despite the lack of recovered bodies, evidence points to Lamarre’s involvement in the murders, leading to his formal arrest and imminent court appearance.

This tragic case has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the gravity of the allegations against a serving police officer and raising questions about accountability within law enforcement.
