ISLAMABAD: American magazine Rolling Stone included Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in the list of 200 greatest singers of all time.
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is named ”Emperor of Qawwali” in the American magazine Rolling Stone and wrote that he won the hearts of people worldwide with his singing. The list of Rolling Stone also includes the name of India’s famous singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Popular songs of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan include Afreen Afreen, Mere Rashke Qamar, Kise Da Yaar Na Vichhre, Sanu Ek Pal Chin Na Awe, Yeh Jo Halka Halka Saroor Hai, and other songs which are popular among people of all ages.
The magazine cited a famous saying of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from an interview in 1996, a year before his death. The quote read as “When I sing, I sing with the depth of my heart,” read the quote.
