OGRA Raises LPG Price by Rs5 Per Kg for May

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority on Tuesday raised the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas by 5 rupees to 234 rupees per kilogram (kg) for the month of May.

After the increase, the rate of 11.8 kilograms of domestic LPG cylinders increased by 58 rupees for the whole month of May.

In its monthly review, the authority announced the increase of 229 rupees to 234 rupees per kilograms (kg) rate and the new domestic cylinder of 11.8 kilograms (kg) rate had also increased from 2,702 rupees to 2,760 rupees.

The maximum LPG consumer rate has been raised by 488,9 rupees per MT from 228,999 rupees to 233,888 rupees per MT.

Likewise, the maximum producer rate of 11.8 kilograms cylinder with 18 per cent GST was raised by 58 rupees from 2,214 rupees to 2,272 rupees.

LPG price regulation

The notification added that LPG rates would be regulated at a maximum rate at all levels of the supply chain. However, producers, marketing firms and distributors might sell below the maximum rate determined from time to time.
