OGRA Slashes LPG Price by Rs 11.88 Per Kg for May

ISLAMABAD:  The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday decreased the price of Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for May 2024.

As per the notification issued by the OGRA, the LPG prices are reduced by Rs11.88 to Rs238.46 per kilogram. The new rates will be in effect from Wednesday.

Earlier, the LPG was sold at Rs250.34 per kg during April. The domestic LPG cylinder’s rate has been reduced by 140.18 rupees and the new price is fixed at 2813.85 rupees for the upcoming month.

In April, the OGRA had announced a decrease in the prices of LPG. The LPG rates were reduced by Rs 6.44 per kg which took the per kg rate from Rs256.78 to Rs250.34.

The domestic LPG cylinder witnessed a Rs76.9 decrease and the rate is fixed at Rs2954.03 for April which was earlier 3030.12 rupees.

Petroleum Prices

The decision came after petroleum rates in Pakistan are likely to go down for the upcoming fortnightly review as global oil rates continue their downward trend

The price of petrol decreased by 1.86 dollars per barrel to 107.16 dollars per barrel, while the price of diesel in the international market recorded a fall of 4.3 dollars per barrel to 104.76 dollars per barrel.

Following the global trend, the petrol rate is likely to go down by 5 rupees per liter in the domestic market. Similarly, the price of diesel may fall by 7.85 rupees per liter for consumers in the Pakistani market.
