JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed deep concern regarding recent military developments and heightened tensions in the region. Urging measures to halt the escalation and encourage self-restraint, the OIC cautioned against actions that could further destabilize the entire region.
Emphasizing the potential peril of exacerbating tension, the OIC called upon the Security Council to fulfill its responsibility in maintaining international peace and security to avoid increasing tension in the region.
Furthermore, the OIC appealed to the international community to address longstanding issues in the region, particularly the Palestinian question, and to stop Israeli aggression in Gaza.
