JEDDAH: In a message marking the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), conveyed warm greetings to the global Muslim community while urging an end to the aggression against Palestinians.

The OIC chief extended heartfelt felicitations to the Islamic ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr, praying for the acceptance of their fasts and blessings for all. He also extended his congratulations to the leaders of OIC Member States.

The OIC chief and the OIC General Secretariat also join the host country in its celebrations on this occasion, congratulating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

The Secretary-General specifically addressed the Palestinian people, praying for their relief from anguish, an end to aggression, and the protection of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. He also renewed solidarity with Rohingya refugees and Muslims facing crises in various regions, including the Sahel region, Lake Chad Basin, Jammu and Kashmir, and Sudan.

The OIC chief called for peace, blessings, security, safety, and prosperity worldwide. He emphasized the need to address the root causes of hatred, violence, extremism, and terrorism, urging collective action to overcome the challenges facing the Islamic ummah.
