JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly denounced the abominable attack perpetrated, on Monday by an armed assailant against a mosque in the Herat, Afghanistan.
The attack reportedly left around six worshippers dead and some others wounded. The OIC strongly denounces the terrorist attack against a place of worship where innocent people gather to perform peacefully their prayers.

The OIC General Secretariat also calls on the authorities in Afghanistan to deploy greater efforts to put an end to such blood-shedding against civilians across Afghanistan. The perpetrators of this assault, the OIC asked, should be identified and brought to justice to answer for their appalling act.
The OIC expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and its genuine wishes to the wounded for a complete and speedy recovery.
