JEDDAH: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hissein Brahim Taha held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Mauritania, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, an OIC statement said on Thursday.
The two leaders reviewed developments regarding the tragic situation in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip and Rafah.
They also talked about the dangerous escalation by Israel, the occupying power. The two sides discussed the ongoing preparations to hold an extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers at the OIC General Secretariat, headquarters in Jeddah soon.
