OIC Top Official Meets Senegalese Foreign Minister, Discuss Important Matters

DAKAR: Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad Ismaila Madior FALL, within the framework of the 12th session of the OIC Standing Committee on Information and Cultural Affairs, taking place in Dakar from 16 to 18 October.

During the meeting, Tarig Ali Bakheet conveyed the greetings of the OIC Secretary-General and congratulated the Senegalese foreign minister on his appointment. He also wished him success in his new role.

The envoy further congratulated the host nation for the excellent organization of the 12th session of the COMIAC.

In response, the minister thanked the OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural Affairs for his trip and his constant support to Senegal. He emphasized the strategic significance of COMIAC as a framework for the development of cultural policies in the Muslim world.

Senegal’s Commitment to Collaborate with OIC

Moreover, he reaffirmed Senegal’s commitment to collaborating with the OIC and other member countries to address common challenges and promote the values of peace, tolerance, and cultural diversity.
