ISLAMABAD/JEDDAH: Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha has expressed his solidarity and deep compassion with the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh after a huge fire blazed some camps in Cox’s Bazaar that left many refugees without shelter on March 5.
OIC Member States
Taha urged the OIC member states and relevant institutions, as well as the international humanitarian community, to rescue and assist the Rohingya victims of the fire.
The OIC Secretary-General also thanked the government of Bangladesh for its continuous efforts to improve the situation of Rohingya refugees.
Taha reaffirmed the OIC’s commitment to always stand with the Rohingya refugees and mobilise all available resources to assist them in regaining their safety and dignity.
