OPF Plans to Build New Academic Building for Females

ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), an attached department of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, is set to establish the OPF Higher Secondary Girls School Academic Block, proving the government’s dedication to giving Pakistani youngsters living abroad access to high-quality education.

According to an official source, the construction of a new Academic Block at the OPF Girls Higher Secondary School in Rawalpindi reflects the government’s dedication to meeting the educational needs of the broader public as well as the international community.

There are currently 710 kids enrolled in the school, 279 of whom are overseas Pakistani children. The new Academic Block, covering an area of 21,057 square feet, will accommodate approximately 300 more students. The proposed construction work of the new academic block is estimated to cost Rs. 99.93 million. It will feature classrooms, daycare facilities, a conference room, an art studio, a medical room, and a cafeteria.

Aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development is committed to extending maximum facilities and assistance to Pakistani expatriates, both domestically and globally. Recognizing the invaluable contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy, the government is dedicated to exploring all avenues to facilitate them comprehensively.

The government expresses optimism about the pivotal role overseas Pakistanis can play in national development, leveraging their knowledge, expertise, and global exposure for the country’s betterment.

Commending the management of OPF for the successful launch of the new academic block at the OPF Girls Higher Secondary School in Rawalpindi, officials emphasize the importance of such initiatives in fostering educational growth and providing enhanced opportunities for students.
