Over 23.5m Passengers Came to UAE Ports in 2022

ISLAMABAD: According to the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in an official report on Thursday, UAE received 23,672,468 passengers in 2022 through different ports and border crossing. On New Year’s Eve more than 107,000 arrived.

On December 31 2022, as many as 6,527 arrived via Hatta Border Crossing, 95,445 travelers through the Emirates’ airports, and 5,010 via marine ports.

As compared to 2021, the figures of last year showed an increase of 89 percent. Of the total number of 23,672,468 incoming passengers; 1,612,746 crossed Hatta Border Crossing, 21,817,022 arrived through airports, and 242,700 passengers used seaports.

UAE ports witness increased arrival of passengers

In 2021, the UAE received 83,700 through marine ports, 12,025,468 passengers through airports, and 399,083 through Hatta Border Crossing, the Khaleej times reported.

A new report by the Britain-based market research firm Euromonitor, Dubai’s airport is among the busiest airports in the world.

It ranks second globally in the Top 100 City Destinations Index 2022 for speed of procedure completion and service for passengers.
