ISLAMABAD: The deportation of undocumented foreign nationals continued from Pakistan, with at least 2,398 illegal immigrants sent to Afghanistan on Saturday.
The deportees included 691 men, 558 women, and 1,149 children, as reported by the state-run PTV news.
Despite the expiration of the deadline for illegal aliens, the repatriation process remains ongoing.
The safe and dignified return of illegally residing Afghans is a top priority for the Pakistani government.
Thousands of unregistered Afghan citizens continue to return daily through the Torkham and Chaman borders, with transit camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan offering necessary facilities.
The Pakistani government remains committed to providing assistance to returning Afghan citizens.
