RIYADH: The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority is set to host its twelfth annual virtual forum on Sunday, titled “Legal Awareness in Combating Financial and Administrative Corruption,” in commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day 2023, themed “UNCAC at 20: Uniting the World Against Corruption.”
The forum aims to delve into various topics related to laws addressing financial and administrative corruption offenses. Discussions will encompass the differentiation between financial and administrative corruption crimes and violations, understanding the distinctions between disciplinary and criminal liability, examining the responsibilities of public employees in reporting instances of financial or administrative corruption, and exploring both local and international experiences that contribute to enhancing legal awareness in the fight against corruption. —SPA/APP
