ISLAMABAD: Fast bowler Haris Rauf’s stint in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 has been cut short after sustaining a shoulder injury during a match against Karachi Kings on Saturday night.

Haris Rauf, a key player for the Lahore Qalandars, dislocated his shoulder while taking a catch in the final over of the match, leading to his unfortunate withdrawal from the remainder of the tournament.

The incident occurred when Haris Rauf, in a bid to dismiss Hasan Ali, fell awkwardly on his shoulder while executing a successful catch. Despite his exceptional performance in the match, where he bowled the most economical four overs for his team, conceding only 22 runs and claiming one wicket, Haris Rauf’s injury has forced him to sit out for an estimated period of four to six weeks.

Lahore Qalandars Confirm Haris Rauf’s Unavailability

Following consultations with the medical panel, Lahore Qalandars confirmed Haris Rauf’s unavailability for the rest of PSL 9, citing the need for a significant recovery period. Expressing regret over Haris Rauf’s absence, Lahore Qalandars Director Sameen Rana acknowledged his crucial role in the team’s bowling attack and assured continued determination to deliver strong performances in his absence.
