Pak Rupee Gains 59 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: A bit slightly but still good enough as the Pakistani rupee upward trend continued for the third consecutive day and witnessed a gain of 59 paisa against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Friday. At the start of the day, the local currencies were appreciated to over 90 paisa, however at the closing of the day dropped down to Rs 59 paisa and settled at Rs285.15 against Rs 285.74 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), reported the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market in the range of Rs 308 and Rs 311. Customers are also worried about the rupee-dollar disparity in the open market and responded with anguish to the tweet of State Bank on social media. Some even lamented that they can’t find the dollars below Rs 311 in the open market.

 Rupee Against Other International Currencies

 Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also witnessed a decline and went down by 53 paisa to close at Rs306.11 against Rs306.64 on its last day of trading.

 

The Japanese Yen was traded without change and was settled at Rs2.04, while the British Pound experienced a decline of Rs1.59 in the exchange rate and was available at Rs352.07 in the market against Rs 353.66 on Thursday.

 

Emirates Dirham declined by 16 paisa and was settled at Rs 77.65 while the Saudi Riyal went down by 11 paisa to close at Rs76.03.
