ISLAMABAD: Despite a slight decrease against the Japanese Yun and British Pound, the Pakistani rupee gained slight momentum against the American Dollar, Euro, Dirham, and Riyal in the interbank trading on Friday. The local currency against the dollar was traded at Rs 283.59 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 283.82.
According to the FAP (Forex Association of Pakistan), the buying and selling rates of the Greenback in the open market were traded at Rs 285.5 and Rs 287.5, respectively.
Local Currency Against Euro, Pound, Riyal, Others
The price of the Euro went down by Rs 1 to close at Rs 312.71 against the last day’s closing of Rs 313.71, according to the SBP (State Bank of Pakistan).
However, the Japanese Yen got a slight increase by 01 paisas to close at Rs 2.11, while the British Pound appreciated by 81 paisas in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs 357.40 as compared to its last day’s closing of Rs 356.59.
The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham, the Saudi Riyal, came down by 06 paise each to close at Rs 77.22 and Rs 75.61, respectively.
