RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday chaired the 263rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, said a statement issued by the military media affairs wing.
The forum paid homage to the supreme sacrifices made by martyrs, including officers and personnel of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who laid down their lives for the preservation of peace and stability in the country, read the statement of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
It was resolved that terrorists, along with their facilitators and supporters acting at the behest of hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan, would be met with the full force of the state. COAS directed commanders to continue consolidating the gains made in the fight against terrorism and militancy.
Expressing concerns over the ongoing repression of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forum condemned India’s continued human rights violations. It reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for Kashmiris.
The forum also expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and condemned the grave human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza. COAS reiterated Pakistan’s persistent support for the Palestinian cause.
Appreciating the efforts of the Civil Administration, Law Enforcement Agencies, and security forces during the General Elections, the forum noted the Armed Forces’ role in providing a secure environment despite challenges.
The forum expressed dismay over unfounded allegations of interference leveled against the Armed Forces by certain segments of the media and political entities. It emphasized the importance of following due legal processes rather than resorting to baseless political rhetoric.
Noting the smooth transition of power post-elections, the forum hoped for political and economic stability in the country, emphasizing democratic consolidation as the way forward.
The forum reaffirmed the military leadership’s commitment to fulfilling its constitutionally mandated responsibilities and providing support to the government in combating security threats and promoting socio-economic growth.
COAS urged field commanders to maintain high standards of professionalism, operational preparedness, and motivation during operations and training.
