Pakistan Army Rescue Stranded Tourists on Kalam-Bahrain Route

SWAT: Following many hours of heavy snowfall on the route that links Bahrain with Kalam, a landslide trapped the vehicles of the visitors.

Pakistan Army teams launched an emergency rescue operation right once, bringing the passengers’ medication and food and rescuing them to a secure location.

Most of the visitors are hailed from Punjab, primarily from Lahore.

During the severe weather conditions as a result of the severe snowfall, the Pakistan Army has rescued a number of visitors in Kalam and Bahrain.

Travellers and tourists are relocated to secure locations and provided with food and medicines.

Pakistan has been witnessing downpours in many cities and heavy snowfall in the hilly areas for several days.

Pakistan Army Rescue Activities in Gwadar

Pakistan Army also continued flood relief operations in Gwadar district. The flood impacted regions of Gwadar Bakshi Colony, Maula Bin Ward, Captain Murad Kaksh Ward, Jiwani, Dhor Chowk, Shambe Ismail Ward, Faqir Colony, Maula Fazil Chowk, Baloch Ward, TTC Colony, and Sarbandar were all the sites of deterring activities.

Areas of Jiwani, including Shahzada Bazar, Kausar Bazar, Raisani Bazar, Shiabad, Rohbar, and Nokiaabad, were cleared with the use of water tankers utilized by the civil administration.

On behalf of the Pakistan Army, the process of distributing rations and preparing food for the public is going on and distributed to every home.

In the Gwadar area, over 1300 households have received 28 tons of dry ration and prepared meals so far.

Moreover, 6 free medical camps were set up to provide care for almost 2000 patients.

Pakistan army has also set up a mobile medical camp to facilitate the people of the remote areas, especially Jiwani.

The road maintenance work is also going on to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
