ISLAMABAD: Pakistan electoral body on Tuesday rejected media reports that claimed that the ECP refused to disclose the asset details of the caretaker Prime Minister and his cabinet members.
The Election Commission of Pakistan spokesperson affirmed that the assets of the federal cabinet, including the Prime Minister, had been duly submitted to the Commission as per Section 230(3) of the Election Act 2017.
Steps for Public Access to PM, Cabinet Asset Details Declarations
As per regulations, once the Commission approves the publication of statements under Section 230(3) and Election Rules 170(3) in the Official Gazette, it becomes officially documented, said the spokesperson.
Individuals seeking copies of declarations published under Section 138 in the official gazette can do so by submitting an application and completing the necessary payment at the Election Commission Secretariat in Islamabad, said ECP.
