Pakistan Envoy Visits China-Pakistan Economic, Cultural Exchange Center

BEIJING: Pakistan envoy to China, Khalil Hashmi has visited the China-Pakistan Economic and Cultural Exchange Incubation Center in Chengdu, China, official media reported on Sunday.

The Incubation Center is a platform for trade, economic, and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and China, jointly created by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu and the Pakistan-Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, APP reported.

During his trip, Hashmi paid special attention to the sale and market prospects of Pakistani goods exhibited in these centers, including clothes, carpets, and handicrafts.

Li Hongwu, Director of the Incubation Center and the Chairman of the Pakistan-Sichuan Chamber of Commerce said that Pakistan’s goods are of excellent quality and have distinctive characteristics, making them highly favored by the local population. The director said that they are currently witnessing significant economic activities in agricultural, which showcase the increasing economic relations between the two countries. Li Hongwu maintained that they have also received strong interest from several enterprises in the light industry, who are very keen on establishing partnerships with their counterparts in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Ambassador said that he is particularly interested in the Chamber of Commerce’s initiatives linked to the establishment of industrial parks, the Lahore-Chengdu direct flight and cultural tourism.

Both sides also discussed cooperation to establish an e-commerce platform and also organize exhibitions and sales events, which can further promote cultural and trade exchanges between the two nations. _APP
