Pakistan Football Team Begins Training for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan national football team has commenced an intensive training camp in Islamabad as they prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Round 2.

The team will face Saudi Arabia in a home match on June 6 in Islamabad, followed by an away match in Tajikistan on June 11.

Head coach Stephen Constantine is leading the efforts to refine the team’s skills and tactics for the crucial encounter against Saudi Arabia, a formidable opponent in the football world. Goalkeeping coaches Rogerio Ramos and Noman Ibrahim are working diligently with the goalkeepers, while fitness coach Claudio Altieri focuses on ensuring peak physical performance.

The preliminary squad for Pakistan includes:

Goalkeepers: Hassan Ali, Tanveer.

Defenders: Haseeb Khan, Mamoon Moosa Khan, Huzaifa, Waqar Ihtisham, Abdul Rehman, Umar Hayat, Muhammad Adeel, Muhammad Saddam, Zain ul Abideen.

Midfielders: Yasir Arafat, Alamgir Ghazi, Ali Uzair, Rajab Ali, Moin Ali, Junaid Ahmed, Fahim.

Forwards: Adeel Younas, Shayak Dost, Ali Zafar, Fareedullah.

The final squad will include additional players from the diaspora who will join the training camp later. The team is working hard to ensure they are fully prepared for these pivotal matches in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
