ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s interim government on Wednesday further reduced the prices of petrol by Rs2.04 per litre and diesel by Rs 6.47 per litre for the next fortnight, the Finance Ministry said.
The new price of petrol is Rs281.34 rupees and 296.71 rupees for High-Speed Diesel (HSD) respectively, a statement of the Ministry of Finance said.
It said the rates of petroleum products were slashed on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
Decrease in Petrol Prices in Pakistan
It is pertinent to mention that the government in a major step on October 16, reduced the petrol prices by Rs 40 per litre and set the prices to 283.38 per litre.
Additionally, during the same adjustment, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was dropped by Rs15 per litre to Rs 303.18.
The government on November 1 did not change the prices of the of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next fortnight.
