ISLAMABAD: Spectators from across India and other parts of the world have rushed to Ahmadabad to watch the most exciting and high-voltage contest of Pakistan and India in the ICC World Cup on Saturday.

Due to the huge rush of spectators, almost all the hotels have been already occupied. However, those spectators who were unable to get space in the hotels have a plan B in their minds. They pretended to become sick, went to the hospitals in Ahmadabad, were admitted, and booked rooms for themselves till Saturday.

According to media reports, the spectators disguised as patients and occupied rooms in the hospitals to get space to stay over there till Saturday. A senior journalist who also contributes to the Op-ed page of WeNews confirmed the news, adding that luckily, he got space in a hotel as he booked the room a few months before.

Pakistan’s Skipper Babar on Spectators

The Cricket Stadium in Ahmadabad is the world’s largest stadium, having space for about 1hundred and 30 thousand people. However, the media predicted a jampacked crowd for the high-voltage match.

Meanwhile, addressing a press conference in Ahmadabad on Friday, Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam said his team had no pressure from the big stadium and huge crowd and expected support from the crowd like the one in Hyderabad during the last contest.

Meanwhile, recent reports circulated in media on Friday revealed that some of the administration departments from some of the hospitals have responded to the issue and have initiated counter-check procedures to expel those people who are not genuine patients. Despite all this, cricket gurus believe it is the cricket fever, particularly the Pak-India contest, that has compelled the spectators to watch the match while utilizing such tactics.
