BANJUL: Pakistan and Kuwait on Saturday agreed to continue their bilateral engagement to advance relations in all domains, particularly the economy.

An understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Islamic Summit Conference, in Banjul, The Gambia.

Ishaq Dar underscored Pakistan’s priority to transform the traditionally fraternal relations with Kuwait into a mutually beneficial economic partnership.

The two leaders expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and called on the UN Security Council to take urgent steps for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
