ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of senior journalist Pervaiz Shaukat.
In a condolence message on Friday, the Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the deceased’s family and expressed deep sadness at the news of Pervaiz Shaukat’s demise.

He said that he was deeply saddened to hear the news of Shaukat’s death, who was a very strong voice for journalists. Solangi said, “Shaukat will always be remembered for his contribution to the field of journalism and the welfare of media persons.” The Minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with courage.
Meanwhile, the Federal Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, Shahera Shahid, also expressed her grief and condolences on the sad demise of the senior journalist. She extended her heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and mourned the loss of a talented journalist.
