Pakistan Navy Chief Visits Coastal Areas, Oversees Exercise Seaspark 2024

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf creeks areas on the coastal belt of Sindh and Baluchistan Province to oversee the ongoing naval ships Exercise Seaspark 2024 and meet with deployed troops participating in the exercise, ISPR said. 

The ISPR, the media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement that Exercise Seaspark 2024, a significant maritime exercise of the Pakistan Navy, is conducted biennially with a focus on two force concepts: Blue Force (own force) and Orange Force (enemy force).

The exercise aims to enhance operational readiness, facilitate major mobilization of personnel, and refine coordination among various elements of the PN for conducting complex naval operations.

During the exercise, PN warships and aircraft also detected Indian Navy ships, submarines, and aircraft attempting to clandestinely observe the exercise and decipher PN war plans. Necessary measures were promptly taken by PN to safeguard its interests.

At the Maritime Headquarters in Karachi, the Chief of Naval Staff received briefings from the commanders of the Orange and Blue Naval Forces on the ongoing operations. Subsequently, Admiral Naveed Ashraf visited Keti Bandar Post and the Battalion Headquarters of the Pak Marines at Shah Bandar, where he was briefed on the combat readiness for defending the creek areas, which constitute the South Eastern maritime boundary with India. He interacted with troops deployed in challenging marshy terrains, commending their dedication and high morale.

Later, Admiral Naveed Ashraf visited the Jinnah Naval Base in Ormara and inspected the naval ships operating at sea. He expressed satisfaction with the professional excellence, high morale, and unwavering readiness of the Pakistan Navy to ensure the impregnable maritime defense of the motherland. He reiterated the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests.
