Pakistan PM Meets Bill Gates, Commends Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Support

DAVOS: Pakistan Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar held a meeting with Bill Gates, the co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in Davos on the sideline of the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

The premier appreciated him for the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He specifically acknowledged the Foundation’s crucial support in areas such as public health, social initiatives, and financial inclusion.

The Prime Minister highlighted the Foundation’s instrumental role during challenging times, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the floods of 2022.

During their discussion, the Prime Minister and Bill Gates explored various social support initiatives implemented in Pakistan. They emphasized the importance of consolidating achievements and expanding efforts nationwide.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister outlined the collaborative efforts of the Government in addressing issues related to poverty and malnutrition. The meeting aimed to strengthen the partnership between Pakistan and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in pursuit of shared goals for social development.
