Pakistan PM to Attend WEF Meeting in Davos

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will visit Davos, Switzerland, on January 15 to 19 to take part in the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), official media reported on Sunday.

Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson said on her official social media account on Sunday that Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will deliver a keynote address on the theme “Trade Tech’s Trillion Dollar Promise,” in the meeting in Davos.  The PM will also attend three key thematic events on preventing an era of international conflict; restoring faith in the global system and preventing economic fracture, the statement added.

On the sidelines of the event, the Prime Minister will also hold meetings with the government and business leaders.  During his trip, the Prime Minister will lead a special “Invest in Pakistan” event.
