Pakistan PM Urges Authorities to Control Prices Following Drop in Oil Prices

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has called upon the chief ministers to reduce the prices of essential goods and services in light of a significant reduction in oil prices.

In a significant move, the government has reduced petrol prices by Rs 40.

The Prime Minister has issued this directive both at the federal and provincial levels, stressing the need for the effective implementation of a robust price control mechanism.

In a statement on a social media platform X, formally known as X, he emphasized, “All efforts should be focused on ensuring that the reduction in petroleum prices benefits the people of Pakistan.”

The Prime Minister underlined the necessity for strict compliance with this directive.
