PESHAWAR: A passenger van fell into a gorge close to Alai in the Battagram district on Tuesday, killing at least three persons and injuring 16 more.
As per local police, the vehicle, transporting passengers to the Bannah area, met with tragedy as it plunged into a deep gorge. The police said the mishap was due to the road’s poor condition and the driver’s negligence.
Reports indicate that three individuals lost their lives at the accident site, while 16 others, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries. The injured were subsequently shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Battagram for medical treatment. —APP
