ISLAMABAD: As cold weather fails to deter tourists from flocking to scenic destinations like Malam Jabba, Kalam, Naran, Murree, and others, authorities advised them to follow the safety guidelines to save themselves from miseries and untoward incidents.
A spokesperson from the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) told APP that a lot of travelers are traveling to popular tourist spots, including Malam Jabba, Kalam, Naran, Kaghan, Swat, Murree, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan despite the freezing weather.
According to him, a lot of people have made plans to visit these places with their families to enjoy the breathtaking views of the rain and snow-covered hills. He advised visitors to wear suitable outdoor clothing, including wind-resistant coats, warm layers, and waterproof boots.
The AJK tourism department has taken proactive steps by setting up welcome receptions, helplines, and information centers at entry and exit points, aiming to facilitate both domestic and foreign tourists and enhance their overall experience. –APP
