Pakistan, Turkiye Reaffirm Support for Each Other’s Core National Interests

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held telephonic conversation with President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Tuesday, extending heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

During the conversation, both leaders exchanged warm Eid greetings and expressed sincere wishes for peace, prosperity, and unity for the people of Pakistan and Turkiye. Emphasizing the deep-rooted and historical relations between the two nations, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.

Highlighting the significance of solidarity and support, both leaders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to stand by each other on their core national interests. Both leaders echoed calls for peace in Palestine, underlining the importance of regional stability and resolution of conflicts through diplomatic means.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to President Erdogan to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, emphasizing the opportunity to convene the 7th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in the near future. Such a visit holds the promise of further deepening bilateral ties and fostering closer collaboration between the two countries across a wide spectrum of areas.
