Pakistan, UAE Sign MoU for Terminal Operations Outsourcing

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, witnessed the ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Karachi Port Trust Pakistan and the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, UAE.

This MoU commercial agreement pertains to the outsourcing of operations for Bulk and General Cargo Terminals at seven (7) berths of East Wharf, Karachi Port.

The primary aim of the MoU is to enhance bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE in the marine and logistics sectors.

Pakistan Minister for Commerce, Railway and Maritime Affairs Shahid Ashraf Tarar, along with other senior officials, attended the signing ceremony from the Pakistani side.

On the UAE side, Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the UAE to Pakistan, were present alongside other high-ranking officials.

The Prime Minister expressed his contentment with the growing exchanges, interactions, and cooperation between businesses in Pakistan and the UAE.
