ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday expressed the government’s desire to fortify its relations with Uzbekistan in multiple sectors including trade and commerce.
Ishaq Dar said this during a meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in the federal capital. Earlier, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received his counterpart on his arrival at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by their one-on-one meeting.
During the meeting, Dar stated that Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoyed strong and friendly relations.
The Uzbek foreign minister expressed his pleasure in visiting Pakistan, saying they considered Pakistan their second home and Uzbekistan greatly valued its relationship with Pakistan.
Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
