Pakistan Wins Medals at Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2024

ABU DHABI: Pakistan has secured one gold and two bronze medals at the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2024 held in Abu Dhabi, local media reported on Tuesday.

Umar Yasin and Muhammad Yusuf Ali defeated Kazakhstan side in the final of the “Under-18 Duo Classic” context, claiming the gold medal. Similarly, Kainat Arif and Isra Waseen earned two bronze medals in the senior women’s category contest.

The Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation Chairman has felicitated the team on their great achievement and hoped that the players would also perform in future. He lauded the efforts of both the team members and the federation.

The 8thedition of the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championships was organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) while the championship was hosted by the Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union, local media reported.

The championship hosted more than 1500 athletes from 30 nations and saw participation from countries such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and India.
