Pakistani Rupee Sheds 31 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: After being depreciated by 33 paisa last day, the Pakistani Rupee on Tuesday witnessed another mild decline by 31 against the US Dollar in the interbank trading to close at Rs 279.43 against Rs 279.12 last day, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market also observed very mild change and stood at Rs 280.5 and Rs 283.1 respectively. Last day, the local currency was traded in the range of Rs 280.2 and Rs 283, respectively.

Pakistani Rupee Against Other Currencies

Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also witnessed a slight increase and went up by Rs 1.37 paisa to settle at Rs 297.43 as compared to Rs 296.06 last day, as reported by the SBP.

However, the Japanese Yen recorded no change and closed at Rs 1.86, whereas the British Pound went up by Rs 2.71 to settle at Rs 342.52 against the previous day’s level of Rs 339.81.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal also went up by 08 paisa each to close at Rs 76.07 and Rs 74.48, respectively.
