Pakistani Rupee Sheds 51 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Rupee on Monday registered a 51-paisa devaluation against the US Dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs287.54 against the previous day’s closing at Rs287.03.

The Forex Association of Pakistan said that the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar in the open market stood at Rs287 and Rs289.5, respectively.

Pakistani Rupee Against Other Currencies

The rate of the Euro went up by 1.15 rupees to close at 307.41 rupees against the last day’s closing of 306.26 rupees, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged and closed at Rs1.89, whereas an increase of Rs1.48 was registered in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at Rs352.00 in contrast to the last closing of Rs350.52.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal went up by 14 paisa each to close at Rs78.28 and Rs76.66, respectively.
