LONDON: Eastern Eye publishes global Asian stars list each year, and Asian stars working and residing all over the world get their contributions acknowledged in the list. In the current edition, Pakistani stars can be witnessed attaining esteemed positions among the highest-rated Asian artists.

The standout achiever from Pakistan in 2023 is Wahaj Ali, who secured a position within the top 10 on the Eastern Eye list. Wahaj Ali has captivated audiences globally, particularly through his portrayal of Murtasim Khan in Tere Bin, garnering admiration and a substantial fanbase, including a significant following in India.

Prominent Pakistani Stars

Among the notable figures on the list is Riz Ahmed, a Pakistani-origin star renowned for his efforts in promoting Muslim representation in Hollywood. Despite landing just outside the top 10, he claimed the 11th spot, receiving widespread acclaim for groundbreaking performances.

Arooj Aftab, the Grammy-winning Pakistani singer, earned a well-deserved place at rank 24, showcasing her musical prowess and international recognition.

Yumna Zaidi, the leading lady of Tere Bin, delighted her fans by securing the 32nd spot on the Eastern Eye list for 2023, marking another achievement in her flourishing career.

Adding to the Pakistani representation is Ahad Raza Mir, who claimed the 42nd rank on the list. Ahad Raza Mir has diversified his career with a debut on Netflix, appearances on British television, and his ongoing involvement in Pakistan’s inaugural Netflix series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo.
