Pakistan’s Defence Day Celebrated at Islamabad Model College F6-2

ISLAMABAD: In remembrance of Pakistan armed forces’ unmatched valor and sacrifices in 1965, Defence Day was celebrated at Islamabad Model College F6-2. This significant occasion paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani nation and its armed forces in defending the nation’s borders.

The event, graced by Minister of Federal Education & Professional Training Madad Ali Sindhi as the Chief Guest, saw the presence of Director General FDE Mr. Amjad Ahmed, Principal of the college Prof. Aliya Durrni, and Director of Colleges Mohammad Irfan Khan.

Addressing the audience, Madad Ali Sindhi emphasized the awareness and commitment of Pakistan’s youth to their country and religion. He praised the deep bond and love that the youth have for their homeland, expressing confidence in Pakistan’s promising future.

Defence Day serves as a reminder of the unmatched valor, skills, and sacrifices of Pakistani soldiers. Their courage and unwavering dedication to their homeland left the world astonished during the 1965 war, he added.

Mr. Sindhi extended his appreciation to the honorable Principal, Prof. Aaliya Durrani, and the dedicated faculty members for their hard work and dedication to the cause.

Tributes Paid to Armed Forces on Defence Day

The event program featured national and military songs performed by talented students from both primary and secondary sections. Inspirational speeches were delivered by students Akifa Javed and Anum Aziz.

Tableaus that captured attention were presented by student groups led by Areeba and Mahnoor from both primary and secondary sections. A thought-provoking tableau ‘Lafz’ was presented by students from the 1st and 2nd Year. The program concluded with a military song performed by Ayat Fatima. The event concluded with a heartwarming and touching tribute to the Armed Forces, leaving the audience deeply moved.

Principal Prof. Aaliya Durrani expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for honoring the event with his presence. She highlighted the hard work and dedication of the staff members, recognizing their role in bringing accolades to the institute. She proudly mentioned that IMCG F6-2 has been awarded the Best Institution Award multiple times by the Federal Directorate of Education.

Additionally, in recent centralized exams, IMCG F-6/2 secured the 2nd position, achieving the highest GPA among all other institutes. The institute has consistently achieved the highest GPA at both SSC and HSSC levels among all Model Colleges, despite the unavailability of a playground for students to engage in co-curricular activities.
