Pakistan’s DRAP Announces New Price of Various Life-Saving Drugs

ISLAMABAD: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) fixed prices for 20 different life-saving drugs on Thursday.

The drugs whose prices are fixed are used for treating cancer, AIDS, and blood pressure. The DRAP has released a formal notification regarding the fixation of medicine prices after getting approval from the federal cabinet. 

According to the notification, the price of a drug treating lung cancer was fixed at Rs172,320. The price of breast cancer medicine was set at Rs199,741.

Moreover, the price of the Xalatan tablet 50mcg eye drops price was fixed at Rs1,519. Meanwhile, Zofran 8mg tablet price was set at Rs3,907.

Lastly, the price of Aclasta 100ml solution is fixed at 27,514.
