ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday held a meeting with his visiting Iranian counterpart Ahmad Vahidi and Minister for Law Amin Hossein Rahimi in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on security cooperation, smuggling, terrorism, border management, prisoner swap and facilities for Pakistani pilgrims.
Speaking on the occasion, the Interior Minister termed the trip of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi as quite significant in view of Pak-Iran bilateral ties. He said the entire Pakistani nation warmly welcomed the Iranian president and distinguished delegation upon their arrival in the country.
Iranian President’s Visit
Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi is leading a high-level delegation to Pakistan on a three-day official visit. The visit is focused on discussing enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, trade, agriculture, commerce, and people-to-people contact. It is the first visit of any head of state to Pakistan after the February 8 general elections in the country.
