Pakistan’s PM Hopes Slashed Fuel Prices to Provide Respite to Citizens

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the inflation rate reduced to 17% from 39% during the last two years, which will provide a respite to the public.

The Prime Minister said that the recent decrease in inflation was good news for the people. The decrease in inflation was a result of the hard work of the 16-month previous government and the caretaker setup that continued the efforts initiated by the PDM government.

The prime minister also directed the provincial governments to take necessary steps to ensure the implementation of the reduced rates of petroleum products and the sale of edible items at government rates.

Pakistan’s PM Pledges Controlling Inflation

He said that bringing down inflation was the top priority of the government and the people will get more relief as soon as economic activities pick momentum.

The PM expressed resolve to continue heading in the same direction to improve people’s lives. He said that the government was striving hard to provide maximum relief to the public.
