Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Thanks South Asian Leaders for Felicitation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has thanked his counterparts Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Nepal and Sheikh Hasina Wajid of Bangladesh for sending messages of felicitation on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

In his separate posts on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the prime minister also expressed gratitude to Maldives President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu for extending good wishes to him.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed the desire to work with the leadership of these nations to strengthen the bilateral ties with Bangladesh, Nepal and Maldives.

After assuming the office, world leaders immediately started to congratulate Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz received felicitation messages from the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto.
